THE DRAINAGE BOARD.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I hope that at the next elections for the positions of members of the Drainage Board the suburbs may be able to get some men nominated and returned. Speaking for this district (the North-oast Valley), I hope that the present mayor (Mr Campbell) will bo asked to allow himself to be nominated. It would be a big pull on his time, but be would do his duty, and see that the suburbs wore a little better attended to than at present. All suburban voters would see that it was to their interest to vote for a North-east Valley man of Mr Campbell’s standing, as the works would have to bo pushed on in other localities before his own district could hope to be attended to. Hoping that the Ratepayers’ Association will see what can be done in this way, and that some abler pen than mine will take the matter up—l am, etc.. Sen urban Taxpateb. December 21.
