The killing of paradise ducks has been prohibited for a year from April 25 next. Dr Burt has" been appointed assistant ophthalmic sunreon to the Ihmedin Hospital, and Dr O'Neill assistant 6urgeon for the outdoor patients' department. The Resident Commissiorer for the Cook Island's (Colonel Gndgeon) is on a visit to this colony for the purpose of conferring •with the Minister in charge of the gToap upon matters of administration. The out-patient return at the hospital for NoTember shows a total attendance of 437 cases. In October there ■were 465.
