The dead body of Harry Cooper, aged thirty-five years, who had, been employed as a billiard-marker, was found in Wellington Harbor. At Port Chalmers this morning a horse and cart belonging to Messrs Purdie and Co., aerated water manufacturers, and driven by- Allen Mellor, took fright at a train, and bolted. The vehicle struck the kerb near Woolsy> sliop, and the driver was thrown out. He receiwd a shaking, but was able to proceed to Dunedin by the eleven o'clock train. WAIROA, December 21. Eamana Bong, aged eight, was drowned in tho river yesterday afternoon while bathing. He got ont of his depth. The body has been recovered. NELSON, December 21.
