In their match against Wanganui, which began this afternoon, the English team had five wickets down for 291 runs at tour o'clock. OTAGO v. aWTERBTJRY. The ammui cricket match between the above two provinces always takes place during during the Chrietjnae holidays. Forty-fire matches have now been played between the two provinces, with the result that eaob side has won twenty-two, while one was drawn. The Canterbury team arrive to-monow night by the eeoonei express, and wiH stop at the City Hotel during their stay in Dtmedin. The Otago Cricket Association have altered their colors from light-blue to the prominent color dark-blue, which will 'be worn by Otago for the first time on the cricket field on Monday next. The Assjciation ;»re presenting each player with a cap and sash, so the team should look uniform. Supporters down hero are v«ry confident of our boy« winning, as good form has been shown with the bat during the season, while Downea and Fisher appear to be bowling in their very best form. The public are requested to go to the turnstiles with shillings, and thus save tho trouble of having to get change. " Onr Own " at Clrristchurch wires : The Canterbury cricket team leave for Dunedin by the second express to-morrow. Lawrence is unable to go, and will be replaced by Mason (of Sydenham), a fair medium-pace bowler.
