The Maiau dredge i.s being overhauled prior to being put to work nine acres of ground near the bottom boundary. The manager of the Rakery Flat Sluicing Company reports a return of 570-z from a paddock completed on Tuesday. Daring October the Talisman Consolidated C-ompanv crashed 4.350 tons of ore for bullion valued at £13.440. Owing to the public holiday there was no meeting of the Dunedin Stock Exchange to-dav. The bracking of a piston cm the Hartley and Riley dredge has caused work to be suspended. An accident to the crown wheel of th.Rilc's Beach dredge has caused the dredge to be laid up.
