—I LONDON WOOL MARKETS. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report Laving received the following cable Irom their heiid office, dated London, 25th September :—“ Wool sales opened ; large attendance of buyers, fair selection. Competition fairly animated. As compared with closing rates of last series prices for merino wools axe at par to & per cent, lower. Greasy fine cross-bred wools unchanged. Greasy medium and coarse cross-bred wools 5 per cent, lower. Scoured coarse crossbred wools, slip© wools, 5-lOths per cent, lower. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following advice lay cable, dated 26th September, from their London office regarding the opening of the present series of wool sales. As compared with last sales’ closing rates, prices are about the same for greasy merino super, scoured merino super, fine greasy cross-bred, and lower by about pax to 5 per cent, fox merino medium and inferior, coarse greasy cross-bred, crossbred slipe, scoured cross-bred. Competition by both Home and foreign buyers is fairly active.
