Rave nsbourne P team, at Ravcnsboumo, play to commence at 3 p.m. ASSOCIATION. —Charity Banner Competition.— The annual match between the two leading teams in the Association premiership competition to decide which shall hold the charity banner for the year will bo played at Gulling Park to-morrow. Northern, the premier team, and Kaitangata, runners-up, are the competing teams, and as each team has beaten tho other once tliis season, the competition should prove an interesting one. All other matches (schools included) are declared off. A charge of bd will bo made for admission, the receipts going to local charities. Mr W. Smith has been appointed referee. Messrs Angell and Cameron linesmen, and Messrs Joss and Paterson goal umpires. The following will represent Northern :—Reid, Morrison, Shepherd, Sinclair, Ratley, Kilgour, Irvine, Timlin, Drake, Chadwick, M'Clelian. —Otago v. Invercargill.— The following have been selected to represent Otago against Invercargill at Invercargill on Wednesday, 29th inst.: —-Goal, Jack (Momington); backs. Shepherd (Northern) and Penman (Kaatangaia); halves—Sinclair (Northern), Harlow (Koslyn), and Grant (Green Island) ; forwards—• W. Bailey (Morning-ton), Armit (Wakari), Reid (Maori Hill), Marshall (Green Island), Irvine (Northern). Mr W. Smith has been selected by tho Otago Referees’ Club as referee. The match South Otago w Eastern Districts of Southland was played at Balclutha on Wednesday, and resulted in .'a win for the former by 6 points to s—two tries (scored by Caklcr and Bragg)' to goal from a mark (kicked by Ciancey).
