CHARITY MATCH.
To-morrow afternoon Northern and Kaiwill play for the charity banner at (jelling Park. Tlxe match ought to be a particularly interesting one for several reasons. This year’s Northern team is better than any team that that dub have had in the field before, and the Kaitangata men, who were tire runners-up for the premiership, have beaten them once already this season. The struggle for the banner is always a merry one, and is probably the meet popular match of the year in Association. Ib all intents and purposes this will be the official opening of the O.F.A.’s new ground, which' has been receiving attention and is in good condition. The proceeds of the match will go to strengthen the funds of the Patients and Prisoners’ Aid Society, and it is hoped that in this regard the game will bo a great success.
