HARRIERS.

The following dubs held runs on day.Dunedin had an attendance of some twenty members at Wingatui racecourse. The services of the hares were dispensed with, so a$ to avoid any confusion of trail in the inter-club race' on the following Saturday. The ran kept to the right of the racecourse until tho Silverstream was leached and crossed. A turn was then made to the left, and shortly afterwards the Central Otago line was strurk. This was followed until the fields adjoining the cour e •were reached, the course then being followed homo. The pace throughout the afternoon was fast, in spite of the very soft state of the country. The club are indebted to the Dunedin Jockey Club for the accommodation supplied. In order to give the representatives some idea of the country over which the interclub championship will be decided on Saturday next, the Y.M.C.A. journeyed to Wingatui. Paper was with', and the pack, in charge of the captain, covered ax nearly as possible last year's championship course. The muster was small, but what was lacking in number' was made up . by enthusiasm, an exceedingly willing pace being maintained throughout. On the return journey the Committee met and se- ' lected the following to represent the club ' next Saturday:—Sharp, Gordon, Dawson, Darling, Warburton, Scott; emergencies, Bolwell and Liversidge. At the invitation of the Rev. V. King, Dunedin Anglican ran from St. Peter's Schoolroom. The courec taken led towards the railway line, crossing it at the overbridge, then up to Marvhill, then to the left, passing the Industrial School: After going round Mr Sidey's house the pack ran through Upper Eew and along Cargill road home. Plenty of hot water, which was very welcome owing to the mnddy state of the runners' legs, was provided. The harriers then sat down to light refreshments, which were awaiting them.
