ARRIYED.— August 6. Karamea, s.s., 5,553 tons, Burton, from Lyttelton. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's steamer Karamea arrived from Lyttelton this afternoon, and was berthed*at tho George street pier to take in cargo for West of Enjrland norts. Fhe afterwards proceeds to the Bluff, and thence back to Northern ports. The Devon .is getting on we ]] clischarsing her cargo from West of ErHrind ports, and has taken on board frozen mutton, rabbits, and beef. TWO ST-EAMERS ASHORE. WELLINGTON. August 6. The steamers Putiki and Moa are ashore at Foxton. The former is expected to be floated to-day. Her cargo is being jft-tisoned. There are no other details. As the Union Comoa-ny's steamer Pateena was being moved from 0110 berth to another at ths Queen's wharf to-day she crashed into the little steamer Aorere, berthed at tho wharf, and crushed her timbers to such an extent that the smaller vessel had to be beached to prevent her from sinking.
