TO THE HIUTOB. Sir, —It is with reluctance I call attention to the long hours worked by ■•ouths in banks. Now this is Thursday, md I am informed on excellent authority that every night this week the bank has worked its officers, or at any rate many of them, until a late hour. Then regarding Saturday, no junior officer can promise to go anywhere that afternoon. It’s work, work, work. Parliament will be petitioned to remedy the defect of Inst session and bring bank clerks, especially the lads, under the Shop Act. Why should shonseepers be fined for keeping boys and -Jerks after hours when the big banking shop is passed over?—l am. etc., , , . Anti-Sweater. August 2.
