' The Review of Reviews' for August deals largely with the late Mr Seddon. There is a frontispiece illustrating the floral tributes as they were arranged in the lobby of Parliament House, several portraits and cartoons, and much interesting reading matter. The R«v. Dr Watkin contribute.* an article entitled 'Distinguished Early Australians'; Sir LaDgdon Bonythou ' Education and Democracy'; and Mr W. T. Stead an illustrated series of charac ter sketches of the British Labor party M.P.s. There are the usual handy and timely selections from the best articles oi the bet magazines and reviews on matters of current interest, as well as an abundance of sketches, portraits, and cartoons.

'Cassell's Magazine' for July maintains the reputation this publication has gained even in these days of high-class productionsMax Pemberton continues his serial "The Diamond Ship,' and there axe numerous complete stories as well. Ch'ef among tho specially-written and profusely illustrated articles are 'Marvels in Make Up,' "The American Ambas ador at Dorchester House.' 'Princess Henry of Battenberg,' 'Untrodden Irish Paths,' 'Mr Marconi and Wireless Telegraphy,' and ' People of the Day.' These ie something to suit all tastes in the 115 pages of thi" popular monthly.
