THE EXHIBITION.
PIPE BAND : CONTEST.
The Scottish Society at Christchurch have agreed to accept the'.orTer of the Government of. £IOO as a subsidy towards, a pipe band contest in connection with the. offer of the Executive Commissioners of the free use of the Exhibition sports ground .-for', a gathering of the clans and Highjahd games. The programme in connection with the solo piping will include a competition restricted to New Zealand pipers for playing a lament for the late Mr Sedddn.
