In port noon to-day :—At Dunedin : Wakarlui,. Cape Corso, Tarawera, Pukaki Olive (sail). At Port Chalmers : Moana, Te Anau, Progress, Timaru (steam). The Federal steamer Devon, which should have heen here a day or two ago, is experiencing the common lot of vessels which work Lyttelton. She is being stuck up for want of trucks. Her ageDts anticinate that she will be here to-morrow, The sailing of the Wakanui, projected for yesterday, had to be postponed owing to the bursting of a steam-pipe. The steamer got away for the Bluff this afternoon.

The barque Olive, now at the Rattray street wharf \ has been,fixed for Kaioara. At that port she will load timber for Melbourne. It is hoped to despatch her to-morrow.

. The Cane Corso left the Victoria wharf for Port Chalmers about noon. Shis will sail thence for Lyttelton td-tnorrow. , The Tarawera left tho cross wharf for Auckland at 3 p.m. The Corinna, from New Plymouth, is due about midnight. The Warrimoo, from Sydney, is expected to arrive at Port Chalmers. about 8 a.m. to-morrow, and will come up to Dunedin about 3 n.rri;

The Pukaki, with 500 tons of coal and a quantity of sleepers, arrived at Dunedin about 1i.30 a.m., and berthed ai jetty street wharf.

Caotain David. R.N:R., <Sf the ShatrSavill steamer Corinthic, was shown over the new channel near Harrington Point. The> ca,t>tain was accompanied by Captain M'Callum, harbor-master; It is understood that Caotain David will report to his owners at Home.

AtJCKLANT), August 3. The steamer Talnne, arriving from Gisborne, was swept by the tide against thu warship Pioneer. The Talune had a few plates amidships slightly dented, while the Pioneer's stem .was bent; It is hot thought that the damage is serious; but the Talune is being docked for examination.
