Mr J. E. Clement, a well-knoton solicitor, of Waimate, dropped dead off his bicycle in Timaru at six o'clock last evening. "He had been out riding in the afternoon, and was returning home, riding N easily, when he fell off his machine.

Robt. Pritchard; who was employed at a quarry at Woodhaugh, fell from a face into the pit of the quarry yesterday afternoon. He. was taken to the Hospital suffering from bad cuts on tho head and injuries to the feet and hands. He is still under treatment.
