WELLINGTON, A-ngnt 3. The interior of a three-storey brick restaurant known as übe Bodega, Lambtou quay, was seriously damaged by fire at one o'clock this morning. The ocenpier (Mr H. Brice) closed the premises shortly after mid • night, and left a fire in the kitchen range, andjm the range a tin of fat. It is supposed that the fat became ignited, and the flames rushed up the lift to the second and third floors, where the chief damagr •was done. Mr Brice was insured for £7OO in the Northern Office and £250 in the Alliance. The building was owned by Mr Christy, of Wanganui
