The presents consisted (says the 'Free Press') of a. valuable Bible and prayer and hymn books, bound and inscribed. The award of the Colonial AuiUiarv Forces Officers' decoration to Lieutenant .Tames Jack, of the Dunedin City Guards, is gazetted.
Master Awariia Pat Ward, youngest son of Sir Joseph Ward, and Mrs Henderson, sister of Lady Ward, w'ere passengers by the Victoria to-day to meet the incoming San Francisco mail steamer at Auckland, where she is due on Monday next.
