THE RECENT FLOODS.
RAILWAY FORMATION WRECKED.
WHANGAREI, July 23. ine recent floods- wrought great havoc at Grahamstown railway extension, scarcely a cutting escaping damage, while tbe lonlr passage through the Pah Hill, which has taken years to form, is now-choked by huge landslips from both sides. This cutting is a veritable sea of mud. It is estimated that it will take the greater part of a year to bring work to the stage it was before the slips.
