The barque Catarina completed discharging her Dunedin portion of Marseilles tile? at the Rattray street wharf to-day, and will leave for Lyttelton on Monday. The Wimmera, from Sydney via Wellington and Lyttelton, arrived alongside the George street pier at 8 a,m. to-day, and as soon as the tide was favorable she steamed up to Dunedin. She left Sydney at 1.24 p.m. on the 14th inst., arrived at Wellington at 11 a-m, on the 18th, and at 5 p.m. on the 19th, reaching Lyttelton at 5.30 a.m. on the 20th. She left at 5.15 p.m. the same day, arriving as above. Frotn Sydney she experienced fresh to strong S.E. to S.S.E. winds, with heavy S.E. swell, to arrival at Wellington, and from that port moderate winds and sea, with fine weither. She sails from Dunedin tomorrow afternoon, for Melbourne via the Bluff and Hobart, leaving at 3 p.m. The barque Olivo has been warped over to the Rattray street wharf, to finish putting out her cargo of phosphates. She has nob yet been fixed for anywhere outwards, Mr Irwin, acting chief officer of the Tarawera, caum ashore on sick leave to-day, and his place will be taken by Mr Burgess, of the Union Company’s shore staff. A fishing boat searched the Island off Whitianga in the endeavor to ascertain the cause of what was supposed to be distress signals. THE ~AOTEA WRECK. GISBORNE, July 21. Three bodies from the wreck of the schooner Aotea have been discovered, but have not been identified, recognition being difficult owing to their having been mutilated to some extent. One of the bodies is described as having a full-rigged ship tattooed on the right arm. This is believed to be the body of Norman Tansley. The second one has the lettering “I love New Zealand ” tattooed on the right arm. The third has a. gold ring on the fourth finger of the right hand, with the initials “EJ3.” on the ring.
