MR TREGEAR'S LETTER. WANGANOI, July 20. In regard to the request of tie Employers' Federation that Mr Tregear should be removed from the position of Secretary of Labor, the following resolution was passed by the Wanganui Trades and Labor Council:—'"That this Council approve of the Hon. Premier's action in refusing the request of the Employers' Federation." AN APPOINTMENT OBJECTED TO. WELLINGTON, Jury 20. The Trades and Labor Council last evening decided unanimously to protest against the appointment of Mr W. J. Culver, lato secretary of the Liberal-Labor Federation, a 9 inspector of factories. The grounds of the objection were that the appointment was a political reward for services to tb€ Federation, and that Mr Culver's healU would not permit him to satisfactorily per* form tie duties of inspection.
