HARRIERS. The St. Andrew Club held their weekly run yesterday at North Dunedin, from Mrs Ferguson's store. Merizies and Thomson had charge of the paper, and laid the trail along George street round to the Gardens, and along the Main road to Leith walk, then up Thomas's Bush, then round the hills, crossing Watt's road below the gums, round above Neill's, and on over towards the tannery, crossing the road near there; they then ascended Signal Hill, passing up at the back of the Nonnanby Hotel, and round by the vineries. The tTail was taken across a number of paddocks till the road was struck at Maybank. The. trail then led through Opoho, and down to the Gardens, thence home. The pack were divided, a fast one leaving five minutes behind the main pack, and they made the pace a cracker all the way. The run home ended with. Rutherford, Poster, Bone, Bain, and Robins in the lead. After all traces of mud had heen removed the runners sat down to afternoon tea, and the proceedings were brought to a close with three hearty cheers for Mrs Ferguson. , The Executive of the Otago Umpires' Association met last evening. The resignation of Mr R. F. Foster was received and accepted, and Mr A. Hunter was elected secretary pro tem., while Messrs Cooper and Austin were selected to fill vacancies caused by the resignations of Messrs Taylor and Foster. In reference to the alleged taking of a ball in the .Otago v. Southland match, it was decided

that the Umpires' Association should wait on the Cricket Association for the purpose of discussing the matter. The Secretary of the Otago Cricketers' Association wrote asking for an explanation from the two umpires, Messrs West and Smythe, as to the reason why they consented to a cessation of play in the OtagoM.C.C. match prior to six o'clock, and it was resolved that the two gentlemen named should be asked to send explanations to the Umpires' Association, the same to be forwarded to the Otago Cricket Association!
