COURSING.
[Bx Go Bt.] Big entries have been received for the Oamaru Maiden Stakes. I should not be at all surprised to see the Dunedin contingent carry oS the honors. There is a new club in Invercargill called the Southland Coursing and judging by the energy and enthusiasm being displayed the club will be a huge success. Mr A. Pa3pe is tlie secretary, which is a sufficient guaramitee that the club will always be on the financial side. The Dunedin Coursing Club are holding their next meeting on Friday and Saturday, 10th and 11th August, when a Indies' Bracelet, Sapling, and Open Stakes will be run. It is quite on the cards that this will prove the club's best meeting.
