The Buddhists and Sfiintoists are voluntarily contributing towards the cost of rebuilding a Christian church destroyed during the disturbances at Tokio last September.
[On the terms of the Portsmouth Treaty between Japan and Russia being made public, rioting broke out in Tokio. Owing to the mismanagement of the police the mob became exasperated, and vented their rage in burning and destroying a few houses and ehurchea -without regard to ownership.]
