Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MR REDMOND MAKES THE BEST OF IT. LONDON, March 19. Mr‘John Redmond (Leader of the Nationalist party), speaking at Manchester, declared that the Nationalists believed that the English masses desired to deal fairly with Ireland. His party would therefore give the Government adequate time to fulfil their promises. Personally, he was sanguine of the future. He foresaw a true union, bound only by the rights, privileges, and liberties that every nation should enjoy. PAYMENT OF MEMBERS. LONDON, March 19. Mr Keir Hardie, ALP., says that payment of members was not included in the Labor programme brought up by the Representor tion Committee, but ho will vote for the principle.
