Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under : Overland, Northern ports, Christchurch, and intermediate offices, daily, 6.30 a.m. Late letters, 7.40; also on the mail van up to 8 a.m. For second express for Palmerston, Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru, Ashburton, and Christchurch, at 12.45 p.m. Also Northern ports at 12.45 p.m. on Saturday. For Grey mouth, Hokitika, and Reefton, Monday and Thursday, at 12.45 p.m. For south express trams at 7.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage. Id. THURSDAY, MARCH 22. For Lyttelton and Christchurch.—Per Wxmmera at 1 p.m. Late letters 2 p.m, on board.
