AMUSEMENTS.

There was a good house at the Princess. Theatre on Satuitla£ evening, when Gselmy repeated his entertaining and worry-begml- ; ing performance. Czemy has a personality which contributes • largely ' to.' toe.' bucccss ; of his harmless deceptions. He does apparently marvellous things with a smiling self -unconsciousness that is.insinuating, to say the. least of it. Also, he has a ready wit, and is most apt in meeting the exigencies of the moment. From the point of view of his audience, •he leaves but one thing to be desires—ho doesn't tell them "how it's done," and male© them as wise as himself. But, of course, that's one of Gzeray's little ways. ' ALHAMBRA THEATRE. A vrey large audience witnessed the change of* programme at the Albambra Theatre on Saturday evening. Several new turns were submitted by fresh artists. The Krank brothers have rather a novel trickcycling act, which is undeniably daring and clever. In fact, their work is in many respects as clean and pietty as any we have aeen. Miss Phyllis ChryßtaL the new sario, is of .fine stage appearance, and does her work in enlivening style. She should prove a draw. Mr Walter Anderson has a- very pleasing baritone voice, and sings descriptive stuff with -some distinction Those extremely clever little dancers, the Rowell Sisters, have a new and even more remarks able dance which they present after singing the usual serio item. They are the best juvenile dancing double on the circuit. The older and more firmly established favorites are all doing good work. Mr Ward Lear, for example, is making quite a " Will Stevens" stay in Dunedin, and has lost not a jot of his freshness. Mr Jack Hagan, the other comedy merchant, has a quaint and light vein of humor, and exploits it admiringly. Then there are the Ibsons (quartet of musicians), Miss Beryl Lytton (popular soprano), Mr?s Leslie (contralto), and some really good moving pictures. Such is the week's programme, wSich may be witnessed again this and every evening.
