Government Notices. TECMNOIXXaECAL EXAMmATIOSB of the CITY AND GUILDS OF lONTJON INSTITUTE, and SCIENCE AND AST EXAMINATIONS of the BOARD OF EDUCATION, SOUTH KENSINGTON. TON DEPARTMENT oj tube and the Board of Education, South Kensington, will be held at various Centres about MAY and JUNE Next respectively. The subjects of examination include, for the City and Guilds—Plumbing, Electrio Lighting, Carpentry and Joinery, Woodwork, Dressmaking, Cookery, etc.; and for South Ken-sington—-Drawing, Painting, and Modelling, Machine and Building Construction, Plain and Solid Geometry, Applied Mechanics, Physics, Chemistry, Physiology, Botany, etc. Forms of application to be examined, which give full particulars, can be obtained from the authorities of local technical or art school or -classes, or from the Inspector-General of Schools, Wellington. The dates by which applications to be examined must reach the Education Department are-: For the City and Guilds, 18th AP-BIL, or, with late fee, 24-th APRIL; and for South Kensington, 24th MAY, or, with late fee, 26fch MAY.
