Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under : Overland, Northern ports, Christchurch, and intermediate offices, daily, 6.30 a.m. Late letters, 7.40; also on the mail van op to 8 a.m. For second express for Palmerston, Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru, Ashburton, and Christchurch, at 12.45 p.m. Also Northern ports at 12.45 p.m. on Saturday. _For Grey'mouth, Hokitika, and Reefton, Monday and Thursday, at 12.45 p.m. For south express trains at 7.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to toe ordinary ->cstage, Id.
