MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.
At last Wednesday's meeting of lily «f. the Ya&jj* Lodge, U.A.0.D., Bno, Davis presided. Ait invitation. was accepted from the Bawensboume Lodge to he present at their next meeting to witness the installation of the incoming district* president and a pwsoMotkmj to the 'retiring Arch-Druid. A nnsdcai evening followed. At the previous meeting the P.G-P. (Bro. Bryant) presented Bro. Crawford with a Past-Arch certificobc, his thnee-years’. too* as Bocreiaiy emtatfing him to such. Bio. Bryant remarked that the enormous amount of work accomplished, together with .the ability shown, fully justified the honor being given. Bro. Mitchell having been elected to the position, of grand vioo-paesb-dent of Otago, the lodge expressed their congratolathms, Bro. Mitchell nemaridng that the honor was not so much • personal as reflecting the coofidtooe- the Grand 1 Lodge placed in the Lily of the Valiev Lodge. The receipts for the past month' totalled £3O ISs 4d.
