MEETINGS OF SOCIETIES.

Loyal Orange I>odge Sir George While, Roslyn, held an open night and social. The chairman (Bro. Thos. Avers), who in his remarks said that the lodge had gone ahead during the past Year, presented a P.M. certificate to P.M. Bro. Uriah, Cooper. The performers during the evening were Messrs M'Arthy, Masterton, Jamieson, Reid, Dunn, and Misses Clyde, Cooper, Dunn, South, and Dredge. Mi;s South acted as accompanist. G.C. Major Comings and P.G.M. Gieig spoke on the benefits of the Order. Refreshments were handed round. A vote of thanks was accorded the performers. A dance followed. . The Loyal Caversham Lodge, M.U., held I heir usual fortnightly meeting last evening, X.G. Bro. J. F. Marshall presiding. Two candidates were initiated. The election of delegates to the annual District meeting resulted in the following being appointed:— P.P.G.M. Bro. Wilson, P.G. Bro. Lowry, N'.G. Bro. Marshall, and E.S. Bro. Christier An enjoyable programme, arranged by the Loyal Valley Lodge, was gone through. On the motion of P.G. Bro. Head, a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the'- performers.. N.Q. Bro.
