Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under : Overland, Northern Ports, Christchurch, and intermediate offices, daily, 6.50 a.m. Late letters, 7.40; also on the mail van up to 8 a.m. For second express for Palmerston, Oamara, Waimate, Tim am, Ashburton, and Christchurch, at 12.45 p.m. Also Northern ports at 12.45 p.m. on Saturday. For Greymouth, Holdfika, and Reafton, Monday and Thursday, at 12.45 p.m. For South express trains at 7.50 a.m. and 5 p.m. Late-fee letters must bear, in addition to the ordinary postage. Id. The above mail will close at the branch Post Office’s, North Dunedin, South Dunedin, Caversham, Rosiyn, Mornington, and North-east Valley, tor money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the sth February, letters and newspapers at midnight on the sth February.
