A considerable amount of this was incurred through damage done on the occasion of the British v. New Zealand football match, and which was refunded by the New Zealand Rugby Union, £B9 18s 6d going to debit of profit and loss. annum, and there 'will be other sources of profit arising from its use, it will in a few years pay for the capital outlay. The structure is substantial and permanent and will be continued round, the oval as occasion requires and finances permit. The membership roll, whicu stands at 289, is the largest for many years. Tne sum of £153 6s was received from the merchants and tradespeople of Dunedin for special prizes, etc., and is a record.
