"OCCASIONAL INDICATIONS."

TO THE EDITOR Sir, —The police report, as partly given by the chairman of tie Dunedin Licensing Bench at yesterday’s meeting, states that “occasional indications” are shown that Sunday trading is still going on in the City. Whether that is so or not I am not prepared to say any further than this; That numbers of persons who visit town on Sundays find it to their advantage to dine or take tea at many of the principal hotels, where they are well catered for. Are these hotels to lie debarred from supplying a substantial meal to those in want of ono, and have it put down as “occasional indications” while none exist? Some people seem to think that everyone who enter within the threshold of a licensed hotel are “beer suckers.” Perhaps it suits' their interests to do so.—l am, etc., Lkvantus. Juno d.
