CASTAWAYS ON THE AUCKLANDS
[Special to the Stab.] WELLINGTON, May 24.’ The ‘Marine Department lias placed the following provisions, clothing, etc., oo various parts of the Auckland Islands for the use of castaways:—Erebus Cove, Port Ross, depot; 1,3201b biscuit, 961b preserved meat, 12 pairs blankets, 12 suits clothes, 6 flannel shirts, 6 woolleh(diawera, 18 pair recks, 12 pairs boots. Rose Island (boathouse): 401b biscuit. Endrrby Island (boathouse)*. 601b biscuit. Norman Inlet depot: 9601b biscuit, 951b preserved meat, 6 pairs blankets, 6 suite clothes, 8 pairs boots. Adams Island (boathouse); 401b biscuit. Camp Cove, Caroley Harbor depot: 1,6001b biscuit, 961b preserved meat, 12 pairs blankets, 12 suits clothes,- 12 flanuel shirts, 6 woollen, drawers, 18 poire socks, 12 pairs boots. Total: 4,0601b biscuit, 2881b preserved meat, 30 pair* blankets, 30 arts c’othes, 18 flannel ehirte, 18 woollen drawers, 36 pair rocks, 32 paire boots. Supplies of tea, sugar, salt, and dripping are also placed in-each of thd depots, together with a Bible and some miscellaneous articles. *
