JAPANESE HOUSE TAX
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 25. Tho Hague Arbitration Tribunal have decided that Japan was not entitled to levy a house tax on buildings situated on the British, French, and German concessions held under perpetual lease, or to impose any impost on such lands uttkps expressly stipulated in the leases.
[This tax after being the cause of much irritation, was referred by Japan, in the interests of international amity, to The Hague Tribunal for adjudication.]
