Naples has been greatly interested in the doings of a young man supposed to be English, calling himself Richard Atkinson. Ho took expensive rooms at the Hotel Savoy, kept a retinue of twenty servants, drove in a carnage drawn by eight magnificent horses, and generally had the appearance of being immensely wealthy. What was more remarkable is that the young man possesses a wardrobe containing male and female attire in unlimited quantities, and he makes use of one or the other kind of garment ns Jus fancy decides. The collection of Parisian headgear and millinery jg said to be worth many thousands of pounds. Atkinson, who is about twenty-one years old, speaks French well, but hot Italian, and maintains several establishments around Naples. Atkinson frequently visit* the Neapolitan theatres, sometimes attired as a man, at others as a woman, to the great scandal of the authorities, who, it is said, have requested the British Consul to have him removed.
