Sixty-four first class and forty-three second class certificates of attendance were issued. SHAG POINT. The break-up of the Shag Point School was held in the local hall on Thursday evening, Mr A. Goodley (chairman of Committee) presiding. The ceremony took the form of a concert, every item of which was providedi by the school children. Before calling on Mr T. Mackenzie. M.H.R., to present the prizes, the Chairmen referred to the fact that the school had scored an attendance percentage of ninety-six for the past year and an average of 95 per cent, for ' the past, five years—a record highly creditable to parents, pupils, and teachers. Mr T. Mackenzie then presented the prizes as follow:—, Attendance certificates: Twenty-threefinsfc class and seventeen second class. Sewing: Standard VI., Margaret J.
