THE PARTY ANSWER MR WYATT,

MELBOURNE, July 29. Attention was called in the Federal House of Representatives to the strictures passed by Mr Wyatt, the Navy League representative in the colonies, on the remarks reported to have been made by him on the Australian Labor party. Mr C. M'Donaicl (Queensland) interjected ; “ Bali! Wyatt’s a paid agitator and disturber of the peace.” Mr James Page (Queensland); ‘‘He is a lying scoundrel.” Mr Watson (tho Premier), in the course of hia reply, said that Mr Wyatt’s statements were absolutely ridiculous and untrue as far as the Ministry' were concerned ; but it was true that the Labor leaders in )he various States refused to have anything to do with a faddist like Mr Wyatt. As to a desire for separation, not the slightest i*-' 4nco for such had ever been shown by She Labor leaders in Australia.
