DUNEDRT JOCKEY CLUB. The monthly meeting of the D.J.C. Committee, yesterday afternoon was attended by tho Hon. Geo. M'Lean (in the chair), Messrs Thomson, Cair, Miller, Myers, and Bullock. The following officers were appointed:— Handicapper, Mr J. R Henrys; starter, Mr H. Piper; clerk of scales,* Mr G. W. Williams; judge, Mr R. Ewing; treasurer, Mr P. Miller; clerk of course, Mr J. Jeffs; timekeeper, Mr F. J. Townsend; surgeons—Drs Allan, Cices, and Stanley Batchelor; veterinary surgeons, Messrs Snowball and Hamilton; stewards, tho Committee to act; secretary, Mr H. L. James. Tho following sub-committees were appointed : —Finance—Messrs Hanlon, Hazlett, Mills, and Miller; Programme— Messrs Hazlett, Bnllock, Myers, and Thomson ; Works—Messrs Bullock, Coughlan, Gow, Thomson; Totalisator—Messrs Bullock, Hanlon, Miller, Myers; Baud and Lunch—Messrs Coughlan,' Miller, Myers, and Taggart. The question of working tho totalisator for the season was referred to tho Totalisator Committee to report. . It was resolved that tenders be called for tho privilege for the year. The Programme Committee were requested to draft the ensuing season's programme and report, to future meeting. It was resolved—" That £lO 10s bo voted towards the publication of the New Zealand 'Turf Register' on the same terms as last year." It was decided that bookmakers and tot© bettors, their clerks or agents, bo not admitted to any meeting during the season. A letter was received from the Racing Conference a-sking the D.J.C. to endeavor to collect the accident fee of £l, which was unpaid on horses that had started in this district at country meetings during the season. The secretary reported that ho had written to all clubs rerarding the matter, and his action was approved. The following licenses were granted: Iramers: R. Ellis, J. Ruttledge. H. Ellis, B. M'Eldowney, J. Lindsay, G. Robertson, W. Paul, and J. A. M'Guinness. Jockevs: W. Jams, H. J. Carr, John Pine, * 11. Lmmersou, J. Lindsay, W. H. Al'Kav C. White, J. Rae, J. Bainber, and L. G lung. Apprentices: W. Fletcher and J. M'Guire. Applications from W. Hunter and George Kirk were deferred pendinoinquiries. George Byrne was gr;mted a jockey's license with a severe caution.
