MINING

There was no wash up last week on tbs New Golden Beach dredge. Work at the claim was only resumed on Friday night after an enforced stoppage due to the breakage of a spur wheel. The Aldinga’s return last week (12oz 15dwt) was won in 128 hours. The ground was rough, with many boulders, and the wash was poor. An arrangement has been come to by which the Sunshine dredge is to work the Clutha River Company’s claims (formerly New Royal Maori and Point d’Or), and the dredge is being floated down the Clutha from the Sunshine claim. DUNEDIN EXCHANGE. This afternoon’s sales: —Hartley and Riley, 80/.
