THE HOLLOWAY DRAMATIC COMPANY.

The sensational drama in four acts, ' I'lit Shadows of a Great City,' was repearcd last evening at the Princess's Theatre. The locality of the play is New York, and the money spoken of is always dollars. While many of the characters are well acted, the special feature of the performance waa th« Biddy Roonan of Mr John P. O'Neill. Without endeavoring to institute a comparison between Mr O'Neill and Mr J. F. Sheridan in their delineation of this class of character, it may be said that Mr OTfeill's Biddy Roonan was so wel! thought out and acted that he carried off the principal honors of the evening. The audience roared at his clever sallies; and expressed by frequent applause their appreciation of his subtle insight and interpretation. Miss Beatrice Holloway acted very naruraQv as the heroine, and* the staging of the piece is effective. 'The Shadows of a Great City' will be produced for the last thhe this evening. On Monday night Mr Charles Hoßctwxy will make has reappearance here after an absence of eleven years, when he will appear as Jim Rambird (a ne'er-do-well) h\ ' Wbv Woman Sins,' a drama from the pen of William P. Sheen and Fred. S. Jenrrmga, which is produced by special arrangement with Mr J. C. Williamson. Miss Holloway will appear as Nell Desmor \ ;.nd the staging of the piece will be on a liberal scale.
