The Stock Exchange list just issued shows that the dredging returns from Otago Southland, and Westland for the month ol March totalled 7,3170z 15dwt, as againsl 12,2300z 19dwt for February. There were four weeks in each month. The directors of the B'.ackwater River Gold Dredging Company have declared a dividend of Is per share, pavable on the 16th mst. During the month an electric lisrht p.ant was installed on the dredge, and also a bilge ejector, a-s a safeguard against accident to the pontoons. Me>'«rs E A Tapper and A. Morrison, two of the directors, have just returned from the Coast, where they met the local shareholders, and they express themselves as well pleaded with the appearance of the dredge and claim, and ™' th the prospects of the company.
