MEETING OF CREDITORS
A meeting of creditora in the estate o! George Gale, tailor, was held before tba Official Assignee (Mr C. C. Graham) this afternoon. Mr G. Mondy appeared for the debtor.
The statement showed that the total debts amounted to £625 lis Bd, and the total assets to £677 6s. Annie Holmes, Wellington, was a secured creditor to the amount of £430. Mr E. Ackroyd, one of the largest creditors, offered to guarantee the payment of 7s 6d in the £ to the creditors, fio as to. save bankrupt's house and furnitoTe. He said he had known bankrupt ever since he had been in Dunedin, and know him as an honest man. He thought that was the wav honest men should be treated.
It was agreed that the creditors accept an offer of 7s 6d in the £" on the amount of claims, with all charges and rent, for th« wliole of the estate within two months, immediate discharge being recommended.
