STATE FIRE INSURANCE
THE MANAGER APPOINTED. [Special to the Stab.] WELLINGTON, April 7. The managership of the State Fire Insurance Department has been offered to Mr J. W. Brindley. Mr Kent (of Auckland) was approached, but declined to be allowed to be put in nomination, the salary and terms offered not being sufficient to warrant his relinquishing the position he at present holds.
