MILTON ITEMS.
[From Ooe Own Correspondent.] MILTON, April 6. At the Brace County Council’s meeting the engineer’s estimate showed that repairs ! rendered necessary by the recent floods will i cost over £430. The Council have ordered a number of small bird traps similar to those used on the Milton Poultry Farm. They are satisfied that they will prove more effective than poisoning. Messrs J. A. Duthie and Co. to-day disposed by auction of the farm of the late Air George Corson, Tokomairiro, consisting of eighty-seven acres, at £2l 5s per acre, j Air John Finch was the purchaser. The I stock and implements brought very satisfactory prices.
