HOLIDAY CONCERT.
A very enjoyable concert was given last Friday evening by those members of the O.R.C. who make it their yearly practice to spend the Easter vacation "at Taieri Mouth. The hall was tastefully decorated by the local residents in honor of the performers with blue and wlnte (the 0-R.C. colors), and crossed double sculls in the background fanned a fitting compliment to one of the champion double scullers present. The programme opened with, a rollicking sea song by Mr P. Priest, which put the audience in good humor. Mr Brewer gave a recitation, entitled "Am una or beef mis.' Tins was followed by an orchestral selection by the. Sooners quartet. Mr Beattie gave 'Come under the old •umbreTkV with a banjo : accompaniment, and a sonata, which was enthasiastvradly sedemanded. Mr E. Priest sang ' G«w>d company,' and Messrs Aimers, Fleming, and HMop also contributed items. A lady viator sang 'Good nighy the club members assisting. A vote of thanks to the performers was carried amid applause. The cltr.irnvm (Captain Fleming) thanked tho?© preset for their kind reception.
