The several conferences in the hide trade difficulty have proved abortive, and the deadlock continues.
MELBOURNE, October 23. The State Assembly passed two months’ Supply. In the Council the Factories Act Amendment Bill was recommitted, and the clause over which the deadlock arose, making the Wages Board apply to oil works, was restored, and, with the remaining clauses, can ried.
