Testerday’s transactions on the New York cotton market covered one million and a half bales, establisiung a record. Many profit-making sales were made short, as they were semi-panicked at the news of the opening advance on the Liverpool market and the reports of the serkiufi frost in the central and eastern cotton belts of America.
