OTAGO MODEL YACHT CLUB. The above club sailed off a handicap point race on Lake Logan on Saturday afternoon for Mr A. W. Brown's (vice-president) trophy. The boats entitled to start were those which had gained the greatest number of points last, season. Four boats faced the starter. Mr T. Andrews's Eob Roy and Mr H. Maitland's Toko being four-foot buate, got two minutes' start. Mr 11. Diver's Mattie and Mr T. Andrews'!,- Welcome are five-foot boats. At the word "go" the Eob Hoy gained the lead of the Toko, going down the bay and crossing the line at tlie bottom end of the lake first. She was closely followed by the Toko and Mattie. The Mattie passed the Rob Roy coming up the bay, crossing the line at the top end first, after which the Rob Roy resumed command, but owing to a fool" with tiio. PORT CHALMERS SAILING CLUB. The opening of the above club's season on Saturday afternoon proved a complete <n<cc*us. A procession of boats was followed by a short match, in which five of the club's yachts took part.
