CASUALTIES.
Ah. Kew, a Chinese gardener at Cromwell, died yesterday morning after partaking of pig's trotter's for tea the night before. Another Chinaman, who ako partook of the trotters, was sick, but recovered. No doctor was in attendance. A wire from Balclutha states that Charles Samuel Anderson, aged twenty-three years, was thrown from a horse at Waitepeka on Saturday, and died at 6 a.m. yesterday from tie effects of the injuries he sustained.
